Inside the Studio

For those who care deeply about where their companions come from.

We believe in full transparency. There are no hidden rooms here, no backdoors, and no secrets. If you’ve made it this far, there’s a good chance you’re one of the discerning few. Someone who wants to understand, not just purchase.

This page offers you a detailed look behind the curtain: who we are, what we believe in, and why we take such care in how we raise our puppies.

A Three-Way Partnership Built on Purpose

Pupp Atelier is a partnership among three families who care deeply about doing things the right way—from the first weeks of a puppy’s life to the moment they join your family.

Glendon Yoder and Nate Yoder are neighbors who each operate a private kennel just steps apart. Their families have committed themselves to raising well-socialized puppies in high-touch, loving environments. Each kennel is independently owned, yet closely aligned in philosophy.

Preston Miller is the Brand Manager behind Pupp Atelier. While not a kennel operator, he ensures that the full experience—before, during, and after a puppy joins your home—is thoughtful, beautiful, and entirely worthy of the investment.

Together, we are stewards of a philosophy, not just a business.

We’re Canine Care Certified

Both of our Studios are Canine Care Certified—a mark of excellence created by animal welfare experts at Purdue University. Unlike most breeding standards, this program is voluntary, rigorous, and audited by third parties to ensure full compliance.

This certification is one of our primary differentiators. It ensures our adults and puppies receive elite-level veterinary care, socialization, behavioral development, and lifetime support planning.

But we don’t just meet the standards. We surpass them—adding additional layers of care, including leash work, crate introduction, one-on-one social time, and enrichment activities designed to prepare each puppy for a life of connection.

“Every decision I make in our studio considers the future family that this puppy will be joining. Our partnership with Pupp Atelier gave me the vision and structure to raise puppies in a way that’s deeply intentional—and deeply personal.”
– Glendon

Glendon and his wife Kathy, along with their three children, care for the puppies in a state-of-the-art, fully certified facility. Their focus? Puppies with strong foundations—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

“We’re still on the home farm—four generations deep—and I want my kids to be part of something meaningful. Puppy mills make my skin crawl. This work is about crafting a better future, one companion at a time.”
– Nate

Nate and Joanna raise puppies with their four children, steps from where Nate’s great-grandfather once farmed. Their mission is simple: breed connection, not just dogs.
